Based on Brainboxes high performance LYNX chip, the PX-376 provides one low profile RS422/485 port operating at fast 1Mbaud data rates, with massive 128byte FIFO buffers to ensure smooth and reliable data transfer.

This card has optical isolation at ±1500V DC / 1000V AC, which provides greater protection for both card and PC from electrical current surges. It also provides noise immunity by isolating the PC from the card's transmit ground. These cards are ideal for use in situations where 'floating grounds' are likely, for example where portable generators are in use, or where there is a high risk of power surges from lightening strikes or cable ruptures.
