ExpressCards offer many functionality and performance advantages. Users of computers with only PCMCIA slots can now realise these advantages without the need to upgrade their computers.

The adaptor is easy to set up and use. No software driver is required. Once combined, the adaptor & ExpressCard may be inserted and removed from the PCMCIA slot without the need to reboot. Alternatively, ExpressCards may be swapped in and out without removing the adaptor from the computer. Data can be transferred at rates up to full speed supported by the PCMCIA slot in the computer.

Important Note:

• ExpressCards can be based on either USB or PCI Express technology. This adaptor works only with USB versions.
• If you are unsure whether your ExpressCard uses USB or PCI Express, please check with the manufacturer.
